Trauma-Informed Counselling in Comox Valley for Women, Caregivers & LGBTQ+ Communities
A Compassionate, Feminist Approach to Mental Health
You’re tired. The weight of caregiving, grief, trauma, or constant anxiety has left you emotionally drained. Perhaps you’ve been holding it all together for so long that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to be truly supported. If you’re feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to carry this alone either.
I offer therapy that honours your experience and helps you rebuild your emotional world with safety, compassion, and clarity. Rooted in a feminist, person-centred approach, our work together focuses on creating a space where your voice matters, your boundaries are respected, and your healing is prioritised.
Meet Elisabeth – A Therapist Who Works With, Not On You
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I bring a grounded, collaborative, and compassionate approach to therapy. My practice is rooted in feminist, somatic, and queer-affirming frameworks, meaning we explore your emotional world with both sensitivity and strength—honouring your identity, your voice, and your lived experience.
I don’t believe in fixing people. Instead, I walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner resilience, process trauma safely, and move towards deeper self-understanding. Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, or life transitions, my role is to support—not override—your process.
As a registered therapist, my training includes trauma-informed care, somatic experiencing, and narrative therapy. I also work extensively with clients from LGBTQ+ and marginalised communities, offering an inclusive, non-judgemental space to explore your mental health in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
Elisabeth is a licensed therapist offering in-person and online counselling. She specialises in feminist therapy, somatic healing, and trauma recovery for individuals across diverse identities.
Counselling for Women in Caregiving Roles, Professionals, and the LGBTQ+ Community
You may be the one everyone turns to—at home, at work, or within your community—but inside, you feel exhausted, disconnected, or on the edge of burnout. Whether you're a woman juggling caregiving responsibilities, a professional navigating high-pressure expectations, or someone in the LGBTQ+ community seeking a space where you can be wholly yourself, this is a place for you.
My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, emotionally depleted, or uncertain about their next steps in life. You might be facing a major transition, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, or simply feeling that life has lost its meaning. These feelings are not failures—they’re signals that something needs attention and care.
In our work together, I offer a space where you don’t have to explain yourself or minimise your pain. You’ll be met with warmth, respect, and deep listening. We’ll explore the emotional load you carry, how societal expectations may be shaping your experience, and how to create new, more fulfilling ways of being.
